PAPER PROCESSING - TYPOGRAPHY
The Menu
We use only top-quality paper, strictly sourced from Italy and Tuscany.
Each has different weights and textures, and we carefully select it for each type of product.
The machines used to work it are old, inherited from our grandparents, while new technologies are used with a taste and style reminiscent of the past.
The paper of Notebooks and Books
In the same way, the Parchments inside the Ancient Herbarium and its hard cover, as well as that of the Tuscan Almanac, the Sketch-books and Photo Albums, are created.
The pages inside the books are all decorated with a frame in "Centina Fiorentina", which depicts the splendid ornament of Acanthus leaves, of Greek origin and Renaissance style.
The interiors of the White Notebooks are all made of smooth paper, perfect for pencils, ballpoint pens, rollerballs, and fountain pens. The edges are all treated to reproduce the appearance of ancient books, which yellow and then darken over time.
The large Lithographic Prints in black and white are also created using typographic techniques. Some of them are hand-watercolored: by combining these two ancient methods, the final result is beautiful paintings that almost appear to be in relief.

Playing Cards and Tarot Cards
The playing cards and tarot cards are typographically printed with bold yet soft colors typical of typographic production, which is easily recognizable in its difference from purely digital production. The cut is mechanical with a steel die that leaves the edge without sharp points that scratch as in milling cuts; in fact, on some cards, the paper thread remains, giving that wonderful handcrafted look. The lamination is matte so as to remain invisible but ensure protection of the paper from humidity and wear.

Wood Prints
The prints on wood of the Boxes, Music-boxes, Clocks and Pendulums, and Theatres are of similar manufacture: they are made on extremely thin paper, imperceptible at the edge of the wood cut, and treated with protective coatings against UV rays and dust.
This is a new and original typographic technique, and the design of the images is all in an antique, refined, and elegant style, which blends wonderfully with the aged wood.

It is recommended not to clean any surface with chemical products or water; it is sufficient to use a dust cloth on the surfaces: they do not retain dirt, as they are smooth and treated with specific methods.
